Nick Stilwell Eur Ing BSc CEng MICE FIHE MCIHT FARRM Road Safety Auditor (HE RSA Cert Comp)

I was introduced to AIRSO, by the then Chair, Linda O’Leary, way back in 1992, soon after I started my own business, The Stilwell Partnership. It’s 55 years since I started work for Gloucester City Council, as a Trainee Traffic and Road Safety Technician. I have since become a Chartered Civil Engineer, specialising in Highways, Transportation and Road Safety Engineering. I am also a Road Safety Auditor. After over 25 years running The Stilwell Partnership, I sold the Practice, but continued working as a Director in the new firm.

In addition to my full-time occupation, Lyn Morris (FAIRSO/FARRM) and I, having met through AIRSO, worked in our spare time for over 15 years to develop a lifetime road safety education process called “srsCULTURE © ”. This culminated in making available road safety materials, including targeted ‘Lesson Plans’ , free to all Primary Schools in the UK..

On December 11th 2020 I formally retired, but I continue to be a Road Safety Auditor with Shropshire Road Safety Services and I contribute to ARRM (as a Trustee) and to PACTS (on the Road Environment Working Party - representing ARRM). I also aim to further develop srsCULTURE © , to at least complete the work done on producing materials for Secondary Schools. srsCULTUREforWork would complete the suite.
