Kathleen Bowman (Secretary)

Kathleen started her career in road safety with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, working as part of the Community Safety Team and attending various public engagement activities. In 2022 Kathleen passed her Advanced Driving Test with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

In 2023, Kathleen moved to Cambridgeshire to take up the position of Community Road Safety Officer with Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, with responsibility for road safety delivery across the county. She has a particular interest in vehicle safety, and manages the Safer Vehicles strand within the county's Vision Zero Road Safety Partnership. Her current activities include conducting tyre checks at events, the running & delivery of the new Older Drivers' Workshop scheme and promoting safer use of child seats across the county. She was awarded the "Tyre Safety in the Community" award at the 2024 National TyreSafe awards, for her work on tyre checks at charity car washes.

Kathleen is a keen hiker and volunteers as an Advanced First Aider and Youth Leader with St John Ambulance.
